Evangelism

Did you know that statistics show that the North American church is in danger of losing an entire generation?

>> Today fewer than 20% of Americans attend church regularly, and only 22% have a positive view of church.

>> Half of all churches in America did not add one person throughconversion last year.

>> Every week, forty-three thousand Americans are leaving the church forgood. *

Yet every Sunday, most churches keep doing the same ineffective routine over and over again, never reaching the unchurched. Albert Einstein once said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expected different results.”

>> 75% of churches were in decline last year

>> 24% of churches only grew by attracting other church members

>> Only 1% of churches grew by reaching the unchurched. *

The Redemption Ministries Evangelism Department is committed to turning all of our churches into vibrant centers of hope, a growing and safe place where those previously unchurched can find their way to God. We suggest you start with the “Church Revitalization Toolkit.” You may choose another place to start, but whatever you do – start today, there is no longer any time to wait.

Our Evangelism Director, Pastor Craig Walker, has given his life to evangelism. From establishing churches in China, Czechoslovakia, and America; from establishing Friends of Internationals Inc to reach international students, from preaching crusades in Africa, and to being the pastor a multi-site church here in the Hampton Roads area, PC has made winning souls his life work.

Our Evangelism Departments Goals are to Expand the Kingdom by:

1.  Identifying those pastors who are committed to church growth.

2.  To revitalize existing churches by providing training:

  • That will help remove growth barriers that exist within our churches.
  • In current marketing strategies (website design, Facebook ads, etc.).
  • Of healthy church systems (the nuts and bolts) of church growth.

3.  To start a Church-Planting Center at Harvest Central (Norfolk,VA):

  • For the recruitment and training of new church planters.
  • To provide a healthy Church-Planting Center model, that can be reproduced in other RM churches.

4.  To recruit new talent from Regent University, Liberty University and Emmanuel College.

5.  To model and train multi-site church strategies (9 out of 10 of the fastest growing churches in America are multi-site churches).

6.  To train our churches and people to see through the eyes of the unbeliever.

7.  Ultimately to cause exponential increase in the Kingdom of our Lord and Christ.

8.  To plant 4 Hispanic churches

9.  To plant 4 Churches or site locations

10. To revitalize 10 churches
